Musa (AS) and the Children of Israel were suffering from a drought. Musa prayed for rain. Allah revealed that there was one man among them who had been openly sinning for many years, and because of him, the rain was being withheld from the group. Allah told Musa to have him leave the gathering. Before the man exposed himself, he sincerely repented to Allah in private. Allah accepted his repentance, and rain immediately began to fall. Musa asked why it rained even though the man had not left. Allah replied that it rained because of the same man—his sincere repentance removed the barrier." #groupbarakah
